Marilyn
I. Bernard has over 30 years of experience in the dental
hygiene profession. After graduating from Loyola, she spent five
years in private practice. She then worked for the City of New Orleans
as a supervisor of a satellite clinic.
For nearly 15 years, she was Clinic Coordinator for the Handicapped
Children's Dental Clinic at Children's Hospital, which was administrated
by the State of Louisiana. Ms. Bernard served as Clinic Coordinator
and as a liaison between the State of Louisiana, Children's Hospital
and LSU School of Dentistry.
She was a gratis faculty member of LSU School of Dentistry and served
as Clinic Supervisor for rotating second year Dental Hygiene students.
Ms. Bernard was vice president of NODHA from 1991 - 1993 and served
as chairperson for the Dental Hygiene Advisory Committee of LSU
School of Dentistry from 1989 - 2003.
Dental Auxiliary Resources has been in business since 1990. Ms.
Bernard's professional understanding of the specific needs of both
the dental auxiliaries and the offices in which they are placed
is one of the strengths of her business.
